Bring the wild inside with this vase that begs to be filled with wildflowers and garden blooms. It is hand painted with motifs inspired by my childhood. My grandmother, Patty Engel, grew the most beautiful peony flowers and I often think of her when I'm painting them. It also boasts sprigs of wheat, forget me nots and lily of the valley's.
I made this vase using a mix of traditional and modern pottery making techniques. It was wheel-thrown starting with a lump of clay and then finished off with a timeless cobalt blue floral painting.
