Stained Glass Painting
Stained glass painting is a welcome challenge for me. Because I have done portraits in black granite, bas relief in wax and graphite on paper, I am able to translate my knowledge of value, form and lighting to stained glass easily. Copying a master painter’s painting is a learning process for me but is something I welcome and have been successful at because at times, I am only as good as my reference. I am and always will be learning this process in becoming a more “natural” painter. It is a difficult medium but I am pleased to have many good results in technique, style and work with both paints and enamels. It is a joy to take my drawings and paint them with light.
To see more of my contract painted glass work, examples can be seen at Terhaar Stained Glass Studio and research the gallery. They have been great supporters and clients.
