Waterfalls and Geode Mugs

Lately, I've been having fun learning new decorating techniques at Miranda Thomas' Vermont pottery studio. After spending three years honing my skills at Farmhouse Pottery, it only felt right to continue working as a professional potter. How lucky am I to have a job that I love!

I feel like a kid in a candy store. There's always something to do to keep the pots moving along. We throw all the pottery in house, decorate it by hand, and finish them all in one of two kilns.

After work, I get free range of the studio to experiment, design, and make my own pottery. I've been playing with different combinations of glazes that Miranda's studio makes, and painting these cheerful sunflowers.
